This is I would have to say one of my all time favourite genres of movie. Of all the types that are out there this is the one that I fall back on no matter what mood I am in. So I thought I would share my favourites with you, these are all movie I own and of course love.
20. Notting Hill

This is on old favourite of mine with some greats of the genre in the title roles, Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, its about a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her. If you haven't seen it yet you need to get on Netflix right now!
19. What If
This is a little gem of a movie. I particularly like all the little cartoon drawings which pop up throughout and give this film a quirky arty feel. The performances by Radcliffe and Kazan are also top notch.
18. When Harry Met Sally

Again what can I really say accept this is a classic of the genre. Although Meg Ryan can be a little annoying at times I genuinely like her character in this film. Billy Crystal is, as always, great in this role too.
17. Shallow Hal
This is a bit of a nostalgic favourite for me, my dad and I saw this together and he loved it so much I watched it a few more times and kinda fell in love with it too.
16. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
There are some very sweet moments in this move and some real laugh out loud ones too. I highly recommend it.
15. Love Actually
So much romance! Also Christmas! What's not to like.
14. I Give it a Year
This is one of those movie's that I love at he moment but I'm not sure if it'll stand the test of time. Nevertheless it is some funny stuff and Rafe Spall is utterly adorable as a leading man.
13. The Mask
I feel like this choice could be controversial (it already started a bit of a debate in my house) but The Mask is undeniably a comedy and Carey and Diaz definitely fall in love so that qualifies in my book.
12. Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Dracula Musical!
11. About Time
This is another sweet Richard Curtis classic but with a time travel twist.
10. Groundhog Day
Bill Murray is timelessly funny and he is on top form is this early 90's classic, this movie only gets better through the years. Who seriously hasn't wished they could be stuck in groundhog day? I know I have.
9. The Holiday
The Holiday is a lovely movie I watch every Christmas. The stars are all funny and instantly loveable and even Jack Black delivers a very subtle performance. The two intertwined stories work beautifully to leave you feeling incredibly hopeful.
8. Four Weddings and a Funeral
Richard Curtis again. Hugh Grant again. Andie MacDowell again....
7. Clueless

I grew up in the 90's and my whole teen years were filled trying to be Cher so this had to have a spot on here. Also Paul Rudd....
6. There's Something About Mary

This movie was massive back in the day and it so deserved it. I do love a movie in which a singing narrator is not out of place. There are just too many fantastic characters in this to even mention.
Stay tuned for my Top 5 coming soon!
